Castle of Alviano or Doria Pamphili

The Castle of Alviano or Doria Pamphili is a fortress located in Alviano, in the province of Terni.

Built in the Renaissance period on a previous medieval structure, in which the peculiarities of the fortress and the noble residence coexist, it dominates the small village of the same name.

Linked to the name of the leader and architect Bartolomeo d'Alviano, whose family had it as a fief, it was bought in 1654 by the princess of San Martino Olimpia Pamphili, powerful sister-in-law of Pope Innocent.
