Selargius

Selargius is an Italian municipality in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, located in the southern part of Sardinia and conurbated with the capital city.

It is attested that the Selargius area was heavily populated as early as the pre-Nuragic period, as evidenced by the Eneolithic village of Su Coddu of San Michele culture of Ozieri and Sub-Ozieri and the villages of Cuccuru Matt'e Masonis and Staineddu. To the Nuragic period belongs the sacred well of Santa Rosa.
