The municipality of Charvensod is located south of Aosta, and includes the southern part of the plaine. It is located at the envers (i.e. on the part of the valley facing north). It borders with the municipalities of Aosta in the north, Gressan in the west, Cogne in the south and Pollein in the east.
The climate is sunny and warm in summer. During the winter, being the territory of the municipality located on the orographic right of the Dora Baltea, it enjoys very little insolation and therefore the temperatures are almost always below zero. The most intense rainfall occurs in spring and autumn, in summer they are short and stormy, while in winter they are almost always snowy.
