Grassi Stucky Palace - Francois Pinault Foundation - Virtual Tour 360

Grassi Palace (also known as Grassi-Stucky Palace) is a Venetian civil building, located in the San Marco district and overlooking the Grand Canal.

It is one of the most well-known lagoon buildings, in addition to being the site of art exhibitions worthy of particular interest: it is famous because it is defined as the last patrician palace overlooking the Grand Canal before the collapse of the Serenissima Republic of Venice.

The founder of the museum writes:

My greatest wish is that this center of contemporary art divided between Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana remains truly contemporary.

This momentum is not only important for me, but also for Venice, which has always known how to inspire the best of creativity at all times.

François Pinault

Architect: Giorgio Massari - Construction started: 1748

Inaugurated in 2006 and 2009, Grassi Palace and Punta della Dogana Gallery are two museums of contemporary art.
