In "Venice", in the Sestriere di Santa Croce - Calle de Mezo 1592 - with access from Campo San Giacomo dell’Orio, in the heart of Venice.
Laboratorium-Venice, gemmation of studies carried out in the deep Veneto region, engages past research and projects in the actions of the next few years and elects the place of Venice as the physical place for the occurrence of magical refinement. As in a construction site designed to build new ideas and new products in the field of art and crafts, the guests will work together in the wake of the shapes preferred by the mind.
Laboratorium-Venezia narrates in the form of an Apologue the work of artists and master craftsmen, manual knowledge, which will be filmed and documented in the performance of their work. Giving a voice to artists and master craftsmen in Venice on the eighth day symbolically takes on the double meaning of rebirth. The two-faced Janus looks at the past and the future at the same time and defines an axis of continuity in the way of refinement that crosses peoples, such as the Amber and Silk Roads.
November 8, 6:00 pm: first presentation of the Venice Laboratorium “The favorite forms of the mind”.
The event is promoted by Marino Zancanella and Davide Gabriele in collaboration with Alberto Cottignoli, Diego Valerio Crestani, Marie Malherbe, Marino Lodoli, Piero Meogrossi, Fabio Roncato, Gianni Trevisan, Wolfgang Zingerle. Fragments of their works will be exhibited to illustrate individualities.
The new works produced by the union of everyone's skills will be promoted by Laboratorium-Venice also in other places in the Veneto region: Villa Farsetti (Santa Maria di Sala, VE), Torre dell'Orologio (Noale, VE), small church in the square di Badoere (TV) - former headquarters of the Architecture Biennale in 1985 - Casa Zancanella (Santa Maria di Sala, VE) and Villa Orlowo (Orlowo Inowroclaw, Poland).
Symposia and works will be held in the factories and workshops of the artisans who will participate in the workshop. The manual and artistic production will be accompanied by research activities, video interviews and critical publications on the themes of the Laboratorium and the activities that will be carried out in it.
