The National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines is a national park that was established by decree of the President of the Republic on 21 May 2001. Its territory extends for over 22,000 hectares along the Apennine ridge between Emilia-Romagna and the Tuscany involving the provinces of Massa-Carrara, Lucca, Reggio Emilia and Parma.

The territory of the park covers an area of ​​23,613 hectares, of which 16,424 in Emilia-Romagna and 7,189 in Tuscany and includes the portions of the Apennine ridge of the provinces of Lucca, Massa Carrara, Parma and Reggio Emilia between the Dolo and Asta valleys , of the Secchia, Enza, Cedra, Bratica and Parma on the Emilian side and for Tuscany between the Taverone and Rosaro valleys.

The Park includes territories belonging to 16 Municipalities.
