Bauer Grunwald Hotel

Arriving in the romantic heart of Venice, the young Austrian Julius Grünwald immediately falls in love with the daughter of Mr. Bauer, respected director of the Hotel de la Ville, asking for his hand in marriage shortly after. The deep bond of love soon gave birth to a commercial partnership, crowned with the opening of the prestigious BAUER Grunwald Hotel.

After the purchase of the entire structure, the enterprising Mr. Bennati, a successful Ligurian shipbuilder with a flair for business and a passion for the hotel sector, gives new life to the BAUER Hotel. The restoration of the original Gothic-Byzantine facade, the structural expansion on Campo San Moisè and, above all, the opening of the "Settimo Cielo" terrace on the 7th floor of the building, still the highest in the city, make the BAUER the most exclusive and modern hotel in Venice.

Francesca Bortolotto Possati, nephew of Arnaldo Bennati, genetically guided by dynamism and enhancement, begins a massive renovation of the building and a strategic revolution in the commercial sector. A first step towards a new contemporary identity.
