Melchiorri Villa

Private residence, it is a typical example of the Art Nouveau (Liberty) style of the Ferrara Bella Epoque.

The advocate of this architectural movement was Eng. Ciro Contini (1873 - 1952) who built the villa in the early 1900s, commissioned by the floriculturist Fernando Melchiori and his wife Giuseppina Marchi.

Building built according to the master plan following the urban transformation of the city on the road resulting from the burying of the Panfilio canal to reach the new railway station from the city center via which then became the current Viale Cavour.
