Col Vetoraz is located on the top of the homonymous hill next to the "Mont" of Cartizze in S. Stefano di Valdobbiadene (Treviso). We are on the highest point of the Cartizze at almost 400 m above sea level, from here the gaze can recognize the entire area, bounded to the east by the Fol resort and to the west by the Sacol resort.
On this hill the Miotto family settled in 1838, developing the cultivation of the vine (Valdobbiadene DOCG and Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze DOCG) from the beginning. The motherland of Valdobbiadene DOCG and Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze DOCG lies between the hills of Valdobbiadene, the mountains above them give a large shelter from the north winds, and are configured as an immense amphitheater.
The geology of the soil and the deep stratifications, a reminder of ancient disappeared seas, are the origin of these "gentle" wines.
