Conte D'Attimis-Maniago

The company is located in Buttrio (Udine), 100km east of Venice and 90km south of the border with Austria, in the d.o.c. "Friuli Colli Orientali" in a hilly environment with a strong wine-growing vocation in which the vineyard has always been the main element of the landscape.

The family estate covers 110 hectares almost entirely of vineyards in a single corporate body: it was February 15, 1585 when, following a wedding, the family of the counts of Attimis-Maniago came to the dowry of the Buttrio company, like the current owner, Count Alberto used to say "The one with the vine and the vine is a marriage that has lasted for over four hundred years for my family".

The origin of the Attimis dates back to the Patriarchate of Aquileia and as evidenced by the impressive family archive, a significant production of wine has already taken place since 1700 although not a few testimonies report important shipments of wine in Italy and abroad in epochs also antecedents.

The first Conte d'Attimis-Maniago bottles were born around 1930 in a completely pioneering way for Friuli and as Count Alberto used to say: “We are proud of our past, it is a heritage of tradition and experience from which to draw strength and teaching .
