Red Rocks of Arbatax

A breathtaking view that derives its name from the extraordinary peculiarity of the porphyry cliffs emerging from the sea. The bay of the Rocce Rosse opens to the east of the Arbatax garden, a tourist hamlet of Tortolì, with a bottom of white rocks and high red granite rocks, which give a unique and extremely fascinating aspect.

Their reflection gives the water an iridescent color on emerald green. The porphyry rocks are a great attraction for expert divers. In front of the 'red' beach, there is the open sea. Around all useful services: ample parking also suitable for campers, hotels, bars, refreshment points and particularly lively nightlife spots.

Arbatax, a tourist and commercial port on the east coast, probably owes its name to the Arabic word for 'fourteen', with reference to the fourteenth watchtower that stands nearby.

The location is the unusual and evocative setting of an annual event of great charm and tradition, the Rocce Rosse Blues festival, a showcase for internationally renowned musicians.
