Cantina di Calasetta is one of the historical wineries of South Sardinia in fact it was founded back in 1932.
We are in Calasetta, one of the most characteristic and picturesque villages on the island, and here 13 winemakers gave birth to the Cantina until in recent years it has grown to as many as 300 conferring wineries, becoming an important consortium for quality wines.
The typical grape variety of this area is the Carignano, which here in Sulcis Iglesiente finds its best stage thanks to the special microclimate with dry and warm days beaten by the mistral and sea breezes oxygenated by rich mineral salts.
The winery's mission is to continue to pursue excellence in production and contribute, as it has done over the past decades, to the socioeconomic development of this beautiful area.
