The Italian Cultural Foundation at Casa Belvedere

The Italian Cultural Foundation at Casa Belvedere seeks to preserve, promote and celebrate the rich heritage of Italy by encouraging the general public's appreciation of the Italian language, arts, cuisine, literature, history, horticulture, fashion, music and commerce through exceptional educational programs, exhibits and events.

Regular activities include Art & Photo exhibits, Language & Cooking classes, a Summer Film Festival, Musical Performances, Car Shows, Fashion Shows, Lectures, Presentations, Book Signings, Bocce Lessons, Opera Luncheons, Gardening classes and more. Additionally, House Tours are conducted for school trips and small groups upon request and prior scheduling.

Also, an integral part of the foundation's mission is to preserve and rehabilitate "Casa Belvedere", the foundation owned headquarters in which all of the above activities occur. Built by Louis A. Stirn andLaura Roebling-Stirn in 1908, the house is historically significant and part of America's story.

The Stirn Mansion is both a New York City Landmark and on the New York State and National Register of Historic Places.

It's transformation journey from a private home to a public institution began in 2010, when the not-for-profit acquired the home. This is a multi-million dollar rehabilitation project that continues through today.
