Luciana Matalon Foundation

The Luciana Matalon Foundation was born in 2000 from the desire to create a space designed specifically for the promotion, study and enhancement of contemporary art. It hosts exhibitions, conferences and cultural initiatives at a local and international level.

The vast space of 700 square meters is divided into two main areas: the entrance, the first rooms and the mezzanine are dedicated to the activities of the Foundation, which hosts exhibitions, conferences and cultural initiatives at local and international level to promote research in the field of contemporary artistic expressions.

The rear areas instead host the museum area, documenting over forty years of Luciana Matalon's activity in America, Europe and Japan. In this part, the works of the multifaceted artist (who dedicates herself to painting, sculpture and jewelry creation) are exhibited, whose installations vary regularly in order to allow the visitor to know the different aspects of the vast production.

Even the museum itself is a work of art: conceived and customized in every part by the artist, it is characterized by a pavement consisting of a pictorial intervention that makes use of resins and optical fibers and welcomes reflections and notes by the author herself. and other writers of his travel companions (such as, for example, Roberto Sanesi, Miklos Varga, Armando Ginesi, Arturo Schwarz and many others) to lead to an "astral city" that stands out between stellar presences and abysmal voids of the universe infinite.
