The Academy of Fine Arts of Macerata was established in 1972 to flank the university with a centuries-old tradition also an artistic academy.
Seat of the Academy was in Palazzo Buonaccorsi until the earthquake in Umbria and Marche in 1997, and then moved to the former convent of the Capuchin nuns.
