Castello di Piovera

Piovera Castle, an ancient 15th-century castle with large park and event space.

The castle formerly owned by the Visconti family in the 14th century.

Later passed to the Balbi family of the Republic of Genoa, it retains parts painted in mourning for the death of Napoleon Bonaparte.

It hosts art workshops and is included in the Lower Piedmont "Open Castles" system.

Leonardo's Castle is an event hosted in different rooms of the Castle.

The guided tour winds its way along the halls of the main floor among period furnishings, decorations and costumes, from the tower to the cellars, passing through the ancient kitchens, and is an authentic journey into the past.

The visit continues in the ancient granaries and the park, where there are evocative historical, artistic, cultural, and naturalistic itineraries of surprising richness.

There is only one afternoon tour led by the owners at 3:30 pm, but there is a richer calendar of events that you can find here >
