Dello Scudo Gallery

Since its founding in 1968, the Galleria dello Scudo has dealt with modern and contemporary art, with particular interest for the major Italian artists of the first half of the twentieth century.

In collaboration with public bodies, it has organized important reviews of a strictly scientific nature, which for the unprecedented cut have aroused the attention of critics and the public.

Among the historical exhibitions we mention De Chirico, the Twenties, 1986-1987, then transferred to Palazzo Reale, Milan; Savinio, the years of Paris, 1990-1991; Boccioni 1912 Materia, 1991-1992, (revived in 2004 at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Soho-New York, with the title Boccioni, Materia: A Futurist Masterpiece and the Avant-garde in Milan and Paris); Marino Marini - Mythography, 1994-1995; Fausto Melotti "teatrini", 1996-1997; Morandi ultimo - still life 1950-1964, 1997-1998, revived at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice; De Chirico, the 1930s, 1998-1999; Pietro Consagra, necessity of color, 2007-2008, curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, Associate Curator at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, and organized in collaboration with the Museum of Castelvecchio, Verona; Alberto Burri, work in black.
