Hamburg

Hamburg, one of the most important port cities in Germany, is connected to the North Sea thanks to the Elbe river. It is crossed by hundreds of canals, and is home to numerous parks.

Lake Binnenalster, near the center, is home to numerous boats and is surrounded by cafes.

The central avenue of Jungfernstieg connects the Neustadt (new city) with the Alstadt (old city), where there are monuments such as the church of St. Michael from the 18th century.
