Arte Laguna Prize - Art Exhibition


The Arte Laguna Prize is an international contemporary art competition held in Venice, dedicated to various disciplines.

The competition was organized for the first time in 2006 by the cultural association MoCA (Modern Contemporary Art) based on the idea of ​​the Arte Laguna studio, based in Venice. The competition jury is made up of museum and foundation directors, independent curators and art critics. Each year, the finalists of the different sections exhibit their works at the headquarters of the Venice Arsenal.

During the first ten editions, thousands of works from all over the world were presented; artists from 44 countries were represented at the 2016 finalists' exhibition.

During the first editions, the sections in competition were painting and photographic art; later the categories dedicated to sculpture and installation, video art, performance, virtual and digital art (from 2011), Land art (from 2015), digital graphics (from 2016), urban art (from 2017), design (from 2018).

For the 2010 edition, the award was presented with the Representative Medal of the President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, as "his representative prize".
