Snowhotel Kirkenes, Norway, opened for the first time in 2006 with 8 rooms and a small icebar (and a reindeer). Since then we have grown towards the clouds and now we are one of the most famous igloo hotels in Norway and the world. Our idea was to create something unique and natural. That's why our hotel is completely new with snow and ice. In an idyllic location, with the forest and mountains behind it, and the Arctic fjord in front.
20 dreamlike rooms; uniquely sculpted by master ice sculptors from around the world. Every year we sit down to create a new theme and new motifs for our Snow hotel. Sometimes we like to try something new, but you will always find the Nordic touch in our sculptures, with the inspiration of both Norwegian and Sami folklore, fauna and fairy tales. Even if you shouldn't sleep much, you can spend all night marveling at all the details of the art of snow and ice sculptures.
If you are planning a family winter vacation in Norway, look no further. The Snowhotel is a true winter wonderland for young and old. We have family rooms, and children 7 and older are welcome. Moreover, we have a lot of fun in the snow, huskies, reindeer and puppies.
