Spreepark


Spreepark is an abandoned amusement park in the north of Plänterwald in the Berlin district of Treptow-Köpenick (former part of East Berlin controlled by the GDR). He was also known by his former name Kulturpark Plänterwald Berlin.

1969-1989 - Kulturpark Plänterwald
The amusement park was opened in 1969 as Kulturpark Plänterwald, which covers an area of 29.5 hectares. The area is located in the north of Plänterwald, near the Spree river. It was the only constant amusement park in the GDR and the only such park in East or West Berlin.
