The Son Doon cave is a cave in the province of Quang Binh, in Vietnam. It is in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang national park. Discovered by a local man in 1991, it was studied by a group of British explorers. It is the largest cave in the world. The cave is located near the Laos border.

The cave is large, in most of its passages, about 80 meters high and equally, with a total length of 4.5 km. It is estimated that its passes go beyond that distance, since the British Cave Research Association team had to stop the expedition due to seasonal rains.

For almost 3 km the cave reaches the dimensions of 140x140 meters, beating the record of the Deer Cave in Borneo (Malaysia). The first team that entered came to a halt when he encountered a 14-meter-high rock wall, while the second was blocked before that limit by the arrival of the wet season.
