Sant'Agata de'Goti villages

The Municipality of Sant'Agata de'Goti is in the province of Benevento, in the ancient lands of Sannio, is one of the most beautiful villages in Campania.

At about 159 meters above sea level, Sant’Agata de 'Goti is defined as the "pearl of Sannio": a millenary village that preserves art, culture and tradition.

The land of Annurche apples, fine wine and black truffles. To be discovered in its alleys, among its houses, but above all in its churches, which are so many here and one after the other guide us step by step to discover the town, like lighthouses that are there to show the way.

Sant’Agata de 'Goti basically consists of two parts: one recently built, more modern and current, the other that dates back to Roman times.

And it is this that we want to tell, of the part built on a tuff rock the one that falls overhanging the Martorano and Riello rivers, the one that is all gathered in its fortress, the one sculpted as if it were a nativity scene.

Once upon a time, it was Saticula, the Samnite city, first a Roman and then a Gothic colony.

What we admire today is a synthesis of all the cultures that have gone through it.
