Central Air Force Museum

The Central Air Force Museum is an aviation museum in Monino, Moscow Oblast, Russia.

A branch of the Central Armed Forces Museum, it is one of the largest aviation museums in the world and the largest for Soviet aircraft, with a collection that includes 173 aircraft and 127 aircraft engines on display.

The museum also features additional exhibits, including Cold War-era American espionage equipment, weapons, tools, uniforms, artwork, and a library containing books, films, and photos is also accessible to visitors.

Really well done and aircraft preserved, albeit outdoors, in an excellent manner.

The Central Air Force Museum is located on the grounds of the Gagarin Air Force Academy on the site of the former Monino Airport, 40 kilometers (25 miles) east of Moscow.

Open-air museum with a fairly complete overview of all the major Russian airplanes from the post-war period to the nineties, with two warehouses dedicated to the dawn of flight and the Second World War.

It is suggestive and therefore certainly to visit it, certainly not to be missed for fans of the sector.
