Mincuzzi Palace

Mincuzzi Palace is located on one of the main streets of the Bari capital and is owned by the family of merchants, the Mincuzzi who inaugurated their atelier here in 1928.

It is located in the Napoleonic Murat district on the corner of the via Sparano and Via Putignani button; his project, in a delicate and refined Liberty style, is due to the architect Aldo Forcignanò, who devised an extremely scenic effective corner solution.

The facade of the building consists of a dense succession of columns, ashlar pilasters, Ionic capitals and masks; above the monumental sign of the family. The interior, one of the most evocative examples of Southern Italy's Style Liberty, features a monumental staircase and is illuminated by the glass dome that overlooks the building.

Over time, Palazzo Mincuzzi has become the symbol of Bari and one of the most prestigious shops in Bari. In 2001 the Mincuzzi family decided to close an era and to rent its building to Luciano Benetton's clothing company.
