Headquarters of the World Heritage Lab - UNESCO

The UNESCO World Heritage Italian Association organizes and promotes the "World Heritage LAB", created with the support of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism and the Italian Commission for UNESCO.

The LAB, which as a whole will end in the summer of 2019, is divided into three themes:

Communicating - the new words for World Heritage,
Manage- UNESCO Offices and Site Manager,
Territories - the relationship with World Heritage sites.
There will be four scheduled meetings: the LAB will in fact touch Ferrara, Florence and Venice; in Rome, at the MiBACT headquarters, at the end of the course, the presentation of the reports and proceedings of the three different conferences will be held, which will be made available to the public on the online platform of the Italian UNESCO World Heritage Association.

Financed with the funds of Law 77/06, the LAB is therefore configured as a path of updating and comparison, dedicated to operators and specialists who deal with the Italian cultural heritage, with particular reference to the managing bodies of the World Heritage sites.

The UNESCO World Heritage Italian Association also produces a very interesting online magazine.

UNESCO SITES
Online news newspaper and cultural policy.
Enriched with content, "Siti", the magazine of the UNESCO World Heritage Italian Association (www.sitiunesco.it), is back online. It will have a daily frequency, but will maintain the in-depth analysis typical of periodicals.

Siti will try to stimulate discussion between professionals, scholars, institutional representatives on issues related to cultural policies and tourism promotion. It is aimed primarily at 'stakeholders' and all those who work in the field of cultural, environmental, natural, artistic, architectural, urban heritage. It will host authorial interventions, interviews with prominent personalities, will propose surveys, analyzes, dossiers, exemplary stories referring to good practices or problems related to the management of UNESCO heritage.

At the same time, by exploiting the widespread coverage of the web, through reports and informative notes, the newspaper opens up to a wider audience, with the aim of making readers aware of the objectives of protecting and enhancing those places which, due to their value, are truly a universal heritage to be known, appreciated and respected.
