Hemingway and Great War Museum - Luca Foundation

The museum occupies five large rooms located at street level with direct access from it.

The exhibition part is made up of 58 large panels, full of historical explanations, photographs and testimonies.

Its peculiarity, beyond the evocative power of the great fatal event and the exhaustive illustration of its crucial passages, is that of providing a testimony, unique in Italy, on the participation of the United States in the First World War.

In the entrance hall, Hemingway welcomes the visitor with his novels inspired by the Great War: "A farewell to arms" and "Across the river and into the trees".

Another singular documentation concerns the participation of American aviators in the conflict. Moving on to the other rooms, the salient stages of the Great War follow one another at a fast pace, always full of unpublished documentation and not found in similar museums.
