Ritz hotel - Virtual Tour 360°

Una delle sale interne

In 2016, the Ritz Hotel in Paris reopened, one of the most famous hotels in the world. It had been closed since 2012 due to an important renovation plan: since its foundation in 1898. It was the first time it closed, since it was also open during the Second World War, when the German Air Force took over a part of it.

It is located at 15 Place Vendôme, the square where the French Ministry of Justice is also based.

Many famous people were guests of the Ritz, including the designer Coco Chanel who lived there from 1931 to when she died in 1971: it is said that the octagonal shape of her suite inspired the bottle of Chanel nº 5 perfume.

Diana Spencer spent the last hours of her life at the Ritz before she died in a car accident on August 31, 1997.

The Ritz is also mentioned in numerous literary works (perhaps more than any other famous hotel) because many writers were guests or set scenes from their novels there.
