Ovo Pinto Museum

The one hosted by the small Civitella del Lago is a unique museum in the world, a small jewel created to collect and display all the painted eggs put together by the Youth Cultural Association.

For 23 years it has been announcing the "Ovo Pinto" National Competition Exhibition (painted egg, in dialect). In this town, the ancient peasant custom of painting eggs during the Easter period has been elevated to a prestigious and refined art.

The eggs are dedicated to artistic movements such as futurism. They are also present as a tribute to famous people such as Dante Alighieri and Alberto Sordi. We arrive at the most creative ones made by school children, each piece exhibited in this unusual museum will fill the eyes of the visitor with color, who will find himself immersed in an intimate and suggestive world beyond all expectations.
