Villa Folchi or Villino Folchi

Villa Folchi or Villino Folchi, is a small eclectic villa located in the Rione Ludovisi in Rome.

It was built in 1896 by Giovanni Battista Giovenale for Monsignor Enrico Folchi and is currently the headquarters of the Tosinvest group.
Inside, some pieces on the ground floor were painted by artists such as Giovanni Capranesi and Gioacchino Pagliei.

The villa represents the most important work created by the architect Giovenale, founder and president of the Artistic Association among Architecture Connoisseurs.

The most important frescoes are those of the reception rooms, one depicts cherubs holding the Folchi coat of arms, the other is occupied by the allegory of Fame.

The young man who embodies it is represented in the act of playing the trumpet, next to a putto is painting a coat of arms, below there is a representation of the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, of which Monsignor Folchi had directly followed the restorations promoted by Leo XIII.
In 1905 the villa became the property of the Marini Clarelli family, who had it until the nineties.
The building is the headquarters of the Tosinvest Group, which through the owners Angelucci carried out an impeccable conservative restoration.
