Villa Stenersen

The construction of Villa Stenersen was completed in 1939 and is one of the main works of Norwegian functionalism of that period, as well as being the only functionalist house open to the public.

Villa Stenersen was designed by Arne Korsmo for the financier, art collector and writer Rolf Stenersen. In 1974 the villa was donated to the state as a representative residence and residence of the Norwegian prime minister. The Villa Stenersen art collection also houses numerous Norwegian and international photographic works of high value. Books about Arne Korsmo and Villa Stenersen for sale. Exhibition of modern works of art.

Guided tours in Norwegian on the last Sunday of the month from June to October, at 13, 14 and 15. Guided tours in English and German upon request. Free entry.
