Parish Church of San Gennaro

The monumental complex of the Church of San Gennaro is the most important architectural element in the urban area of ??Vettica Maggiore in Praiano, it can be reached on foot due to the lack of parking nearby.

It consists of the beautiful church of the same name (with a Latin cross and three naves, an excellent example of Renaissance-Baroque style, with a wealth of stuccoes and decorations), of the relative bell tower soaring on the south side of the facade, of the sacristy (interesting tripartite environment) and of the singular churchyard.

Dome and bell tower covered with the typical majolica of the area, as well as the square that has a huge flower in the center with various colored majolica.

The church is in Baroque style, with a large square in front with a panoramic view (Positano in the background).

Latin cross church with three naves with several side altars and the floor is entirely in light majolica terracotta with colored drawings of fruit, leaves, flowers and birds.

To the right of the nave in the last arch there is a beautiful pulpit decorated in pure gold.
