Church of Santa Maria del Sepolcro

The Church of Santa Maria del Sepolcro, (locally the Mother Church, erroneously referred to as the cathedral), is a church in Ripacandida, in the province of Potenza, located in Piazza del Popolo at the highest point of the town.

The mother church of Santa Maria del Sepolcro is spread over three naves and presents the funeral monument of the servant of God Giambattista Rossi in the chapel of the Sacrament.

The presbytery area is divided from the assembly by a beautiful balustrade inlaid with polychrome marble; whose author is the same Archpriest Giambattista Rossi, who devoted himself to the work in an artistic studio in Naples.
