Catanzaro

The municipality of Catanzaro was awarded the 2006 Blue Flag by the FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education) for the beach of Catanzaro Lido.

Historic capital of the ancient province of Calabria Ultra for over 200 years, the city is the seat of the "Magna Græcia" University, the second Calabrian university by number of students.
