The architect Michele Sanmicheli in the fifteenth century built the central body of Villa Amistà in Venetian style, working on the remains of a Roman "strong house".

The current construction dates back to 1700 and is the work of the architect Ignazio Pellegrini.

Inside you can admire frescoes and original finds from both eras, recovered through careful philological restorations.

In Villa Amistà, history blends with the contemporary interior furnishings, the result of the creativity of the well-known designer Alessandro Mendini and with the numerous works of internationally renowned artists that make this hotel a true museum of contemporary art and design.

The interior design of Byblos Art Hotel is the result of the creativity of Alessandro Mendini, architect and designer who has harmonized contemporary elements with the classic environments of Villa Amistà.

Bright colors and plastic forms merge with the frescoes and marbles of the seventeenth-century halls to create a unique and exclusive project: a permanent exhibition of the major international artists and designers, including Ron Arad, Philippe Starck, Marcel Wanders, Ettore Sottsass, Eero Saarinen, Eero Aarnio and many others.

The Byblos Casa di Mendini project moves on these prodromes: furniture and objects characterized by an exquisite "Revival" style, started with the famous "Proust armchair".

Classic and modern merge to create environments full of memory and memories that wink at a possible future.

Byblos Casa represents the meeting between the contemporary style of the Byblos brand, characterized by colors, glamorous prints and innovative use of patchwork of fabrics and the creative imprint of the Mendini atelier, which also coordinates interventions by other important designers such as Anna Gili, Bruno Gregori, Margarini-Morra, Beatriz Millar.
