Museum of the Divine Infant - Foundation

The only museum with the largest and most significant collection of sculptures of the Child Jesus.

In Gardone Riviera since November 19, 2005, there is a new reality to discover and it is the Museum created by Mrs. Hiky Mayr, a cultured collector of German origin, who has dedicated more than thirty-five years of her life to research, collection and restoration of the sculptures depicting the Child Jesus.

To enter this new reality immediately, we would like to point out that the collection boasts more than two hundred and fifty sculptures from four centuries and documents through the artifacts on display, the techniques, the uses, the iconography linked to the theme of sculpture in the round having as subject "Jesus Child ”and in some cases“ Maria Child ”.

The dimensions are between sixty and ninety centimeters. Here there is everything related to "Baby Jesus", you can find him in swaddling clothes, naked or dressed as a "Little King" with very rich robes and a large outfit.

In addition to the above, there is a period "Neapolitan Nativity" in the Museum with more than one hundred and thirty figures and numerous animals.

The location is only five hundred meters from the "Vittoriale", so you can create a museum itinerary with two different but very interesting realities.

The Province of Brescia has included the Museum in a visit itinerary, as it is equipped with all the infrastructures suitable for the disabled.
